Medicare Advantage network update: Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Beginning October 1, 2026, Mass General Brigham Health Plan’s Medicare Advantage provider network will no longer include Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This change applies only to our Medicare Advantage plans; Dana-Farber remains in our commercial and Medicaid provider networks.
We understand members may have questions about this change, and we are providing support with care planning, as well as dedicated assistance and clear guidance throughout the transition. To ensure comprehensive continuity of care, impacted Medicare Advantage members can continue to receive care from their Dana-Farber providers after October 1, 2026 at in-network coverage for 90 days or through the end of their treatment plans.
Mass General Brigham Health Plan remains committed to ensuring access to high-quality, affordable care, and our Medicare Advantage plans continue to offer access to a broad network of providers, including cancer specialists. We have encouraged Medicare Advantage members with questions about their individual situation to contact our Medicare Advantage Customer Service team for personalized guidance and support.
Questions about this network change?
Impacted members are encouraged to contact Mass General Brigham Health Plan Medicare Advantage Customer Service at 855-833-3668 (TTY: 711) for individualized support and assistance.
Upcoming customer feedback survey
At Mass General Brigham Health Plan, we strive to provide our customers with the best healthcare coverage and experience. With that goal in mind, we are excited to once again conduct a survey with our employer customers. It’s an effective way for us to better understand how we're doing and develop new initiatives that offer real value to you and your employees.
An email with a link to the survey will be sent to you in the coming weeks from MGB Health Plan Experience Surveys. Please be on the lookout for it. This survey will collect feedback on various aspects of your experience with Mass General Brigham Health Plan. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support!
Mass General Brigham Health Plan receives Health Outcomes Accreditation for commercial plans by the NCQA
Mass General Brigham Health Plan has received Health Outcomes Accreditation for our Commercial plans by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
NCQA’s Health Outcomes Accreditation recognizes organizations that lead the market in providing accessible and culturally or linguistically appropriate care and services through standardized data and measurement that help identify population needs and address differences in outcomes, experience, and access.
“Mass General Brigham Health Plan is committed to advancing health equity to address social determinants of health and reduce health disparities,” said Reagan Gargasz, Senior Director of Clinical Operations, Mass General Brigham Health Plan. “We are proud to be recognized by NCQA for using data to better understand our members’ health needs and support access to high-quality, equitable care. We are grateful to the many teams whose dedication and collaboration helped make this achievement possible.”
Mass General Brigham Health Plan is one of 51 commercial health plans in the country to achieve this accreditation by the NCQA. For more information about the Health Outcomes Accreditation, visit the NCQA website.
