# Mass General Brigham Health Plan Sponsors the 15th Annual Run to Home Base

**July 22, 2024 (SOMERVILLE, MA)** – Mass General Brigham Health Plan is pleased to sponsor the Run to Home Base on Saturday, July 27 in Boston, Massachusetts. The event is hosted by Home Base, a partnership between the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital, to raise funds for the clinical care and mental health support of veterans, service members, and their families.

The annual event, which is celebrating its 15th anniversary, is a unique fundraising run and walk through Boston, ending with the unforgettable experience of crossing “home base” at historic Fenway Park.

As part of Mass General Brigham’s world-renowned healthcare system, we share a dedication to improving the lives of the people in our communities. That’s why Mass General Brigham Health Plan works with organizations that share our vision of supporting individuals that need it most.

Mass General Brigham Health Plan’s sponsorship of the Home Base is part of a comprehensive [Community Benefits program](https://massgeneralbrighamhealthplan.org/meet-us/in-our-community) that supports local organizations to meet the needs of communities in a variety of ways to promote health and well-being. Areas of focus include addressing chronic disease, mental health, substance use, and housing stability and other social determinants of health.
